Does anyone here have any insight as to what the long-term plans of the Republican majority in the North Carolina Legislature are regarding redistricting?
I don't have any special insight, but I don't see any reason to believe they won't do exactly what everyone expects, which is to never give up control without a nasty, ugly fight. Looking at all of the changes they have made and are still making to consolidate every last sliver of power
(and they have done *quite* a lot..), those are not the actions of a party that would willingly give up gerrymandering after 10 years of 'revenge.' Those are the actions of a party that not only is greedy for power, but almost seems to believe their political opponents have no right to any power despite North Carolina being only a Leans R state that is highly polarized.
