Actually, now that I've read this fully, these deportees have all been convicted of crimes and already had their day in court. Good people can make mistakes and end up with criminal convictions, but dura lex sed lex. It is not "anti-Christian" to enforce the law. I'm ambivalent on this.

Syrian, Iraqi, and Iranian Christians need our support even if such (well, especially!) means that they get refuge here. Let them in, and if they make a lie to the question "Have you ever committed violations of human rights?", then such will be grounds for subsequent denaturalization and deportation.

It would be more horrifying if he were deporting everyone else making a special exception based on a religious test.

Christians in the Middle East have it clearly more difficult than Muslims, so not strange to take that into account in policymaking (though yeah, if he were to deport other minorities that suffer equally that would be weird).

Whose surprised about this? Trump isn't a Christian in as much as he is part of and dedicates himself to the protection of "The Christian Identity".
