The Fox Network's goal has been to consistently warp the news and mislead the public in order to persuade them. "Fair and Balanced" was just emblematic of that, and in pushing that general narrative, they have successfully pushed the political-news sphere to the right over past decades.

Yeah, the FOXNEWS = MSNBC argument is a false equivalency. MSNBC have hacks but first of all, they also have plenty of centrists and conservatives and second of all, their reporting is based on facts, not in made-up fiction. I'm not arguing that MSNBC isn't mainly liberal, but it's nowhere near the fictional hackfest that FOXNEWS is.
