Would concerns of Jerry Brown's old age (he would be 81-82 while campaigning in 2019/2020) be offset by Tulsi Gabbard's youth? Jerry Brown can appeal to both centrist Democrats (he endorsed Clinton in the CA primary) and progressives (look at his views on virtually any social or economic policy), while Gabbard can appeal to progressive (resigning from DNC to endorse Sanders; anti-PAC/money) and even conservative Democrats (military service, history of being socially conservative). On the other hand, Ican see McCain/Palin scenario, whereby John McCain was 72 and in poor health, and therefore it was believable that he may need to be replaced by the inexperienced 44-year old religious fundamentalist, Sarah Palin. Gabbard aepars more intelligent than Palin, but could potential Democratic voters be turned off by an 82-year old man who may need to be replaced soon after being elected by a 39-year old House Representative. Your thoughts? MAPS?
