So, apparently Stephen Colbert told a Russian late night show that he was considering a run for President in 2020.

Can he win, and if so, how?

Americas 3rd most watched out of the 3 late night hosts. I expect great success on the level of #Jill2016

Ugh. He should've ran back in 2008, not now.

I can see him running in the Democratic primaries or he can primary Trump if he becomes extremely unpopular by 2020. If he is not interested in winning but wants Trump to lose, he can run as an independent spoiler candidate.

Doesn't matter, what was Trump but some loud-mouthed hack with some reality-tv show before 2015.

He'd have been in a better place in '06 or '08, but then, so seemingly would've been Trump.

Didn't he get votes in the South Carolina Republican Primary in 2012?

Say Clinton had won in 2016. I wonder how far Colbert would have gotten running in the Republican primary in 2020 in character, despite his actual liberal centrist views being public knowledge?

2008 was when he actually tried to get on the SC ballot. In 2012, he had his fans vote for Herman Cain instead.

Blame SC Democratic leadership for him not being president. Tongue

A billionaire. Something Colbert, unless someone misplaced a few zeroes on his paychecks, is not. Also, ostensibly a 'successful' businessman.
