The Bavarian government under Horst Seehofer is going to file a a constitutional complaint against gay marriage.
So is the AfD, but they aren't even entitled to do so.

Sadly, SDP is too dumb to ask the CDU to choose between SDP and CSU. Would be a wonderful to damage CDU.

Huh no, there's no chance in hell they ever would. CDU and CSU are for all intents and purposes a single party.

I don't think Germans care enough about culture war issues for that to be an effective strategy.

Well, better strategy than being a floormat.

And even better strategy would be for them to actually be a social democratic party, instead of a vapid third-way empty shell.
