I think I became colorblind just by looking at that map and trying to decipher different colors vs. differing shades of a specific color.

Orange-Bullock, starting with a bernie-esque coalition of conservadems and progressives, but a combination of urban liberals breaking decisively for him later in the campaign and modest victories in the black belt causes his opponents to drop out.
Green-Franken/Klouchobar, but (s)he was the only candidate to go to Puerto rico and DC, for some reason. Drops out before the DNC
Red-Sherrod Brown, I suspect he might have gotten second place in Illinois and Michigan, maybe even Kentucky,Vermont, and New Hampshire. Drops out late March
Yellow-Some Texan Hispanic who is popular with caucus goers and the urban left, fails to gain traction and has a significant part of his base go Bullock, but stays in until before the DNC.

Let me begin:

Red is obviously Sherrod Brown.
Brown could be Biden or Booker.
Green is a bit harder. I think it has to be a Minnesotan: Amy Klobuchar, Al Franken or Keith Ellison.
Since they have to win D.C. and Puerto Rico, I'd say Ellison is the most probable answer.
Yellow is a bit tricky. It could be Elizabeth Warren: has native American ancestors → North Dakota, Wisconsin, Idaho, Alaska, Oklahoma / lives in New England → Maine / is from Oklahoma / plus typical liberal caucus candidate → Iowa, Maine, Colorado, Alaska, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, Kansas. But I can't explain why she would win Texas.
Another possibility is Heidi Heitkamp who will surprisingly have won reelection and thus decides to run for president.

What do you think?

👍

I just wanted to know what a Democratic primary map with the same amount of candidates as in the 2016 GOP primary could look like.
Plus, I added Colorado and North Dakota, both of which didn't hold straw polls.

Who could it be? Julian Castro? I rather doubt it. Maybe Kinky Friedman?

This appears to be the 2016 GOP primary map.

Donald Trump = Joe Biden
Ted Cruz = Tim Kaine
John Kasich = Sherrod Brown

Orange is Steve Bullock.
Yellow is Beto O'Rourke. He was elected Senator in 2018.
Blue is Keith Ellison.
Red is Sherrod Brown.

Bullock goes on to win the nomination and the general election. He picks Klobuchar as his running mate. He will be a two-term President. He ends up being the 5th face on Mount Rushmore.
