Since Seattle posted his map, I figured I could post a ridiculous map with similar lines to those already posted. Since GA got 2012-16 PVI added to the map recently, I present a 9 - 5 Democrat map for Georgia, that both preserves VRA 50% seats, and pushes most of its dem seats into Likely/Safe territory.

South Georgia

Atlanta

GA - 01: D+6
GA - 02: D + 5, Majority Minority
GA - 03: D + 6
GA - 04: D + 11, Majority Minority
GA - 05: D + 10, Majority Minority
GA - 06: D + 6
GA - 07: D + 5
GA - 08: R + 26
GA - 09: R + 30
GA - 10: D + 4
GA - 11: R + 26
GA - 12: R + 25
GA - 13: D + 13, Majority Minority
GA - 14: R + 26

Since 2008, the Democrats have made gains in the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th. They have lost ground in the 2nd and the 10th.

Virginia - Dem-heavy Redistricting

VA-01 R+13
VA-02 D+4
VA-03 D+4
VA-04 D+3
VA-05 D+6
VA-06 R+13
VA-07 D+6
VA-08 D+20
VA-09 R+20
VA-10 D+3.5
VA-11 D+4

NoVA is a little ugly, but I think it's a decently strong gerrymander.

Just 2010 numbers, although the NOVA districts are a little underpopulated to account for population increase.

Okay, I'm currently putting together a 2020 pop projection by county map since I have seen 3, now 4 threads where people want to talk about 2020 D gerrymanders due to the HoD flips. Should be ready for use by the weekend.

Not very difficult to make an ugly, ridiculous 2-2 map.

MS-01 - R+27
MS-02 - D+7
(50.6% BVAP)
MS-03 - D+9 (52.9% BVAP)
MS-04 - R+24

All are safe for their party, I would say.

I'm too lazy to actually draw the R-districts, but here goes:

OKC closeup:

Tulsa closeup:

The district is actually slightly overpopulated, and will probably be even more after the census.

Right now, it's D+4, but could become more D-leaning after some R-leaning parts are shed due to population growth.

So I guess I'll post some old maps I've made.

This is actually not that ridiculous - a 5-2 Alabama map.

The only expressly ugly district is the teal one.

Most Republican <------> Most Democratic
Grey, Green, Red (all around 25% Obama 2008), Teal, Blue (both around 35% Obama 2008), Purple (Birmingham+Tuscaloosa, about D+4, 42.9% BVAP), Yellow (about D+10, 56.1% BVAP)

Ohio doesn't load well on my laptop. I can't really do CA, TX, NY, or FL as well.

PNM mulling a 9-2 map in VA is making me want to see a 13 (or 14!)-tossup NC map, likely through "baconing out" Charlotte and the Triangle. Presumably, they'd all be lean R in theory, but still.

Non-ridiculous attempt to redistrict TX - just the Metroplex

There's no updated PVI figures, but I'll post the 2008 numbers.

Collin County-based district - R+15.7 (about 4-5 points more Republican than TX-03)
Denton County - R+15.9 (about 2 points less Republican than TX-26)
Large eastern district - R+25.3 (about 8 points more Republican than TX-05 which I think is somewhat equivalent.)
Large western district - R+29.4 (about 10 points more Republican than TX-12)
I-35 district - R+15.6 (about 1 point less Republican than TX-17)
North Dallas-Carrollton-Southlake district - R+8.3 (about 1 point less Republican than TX-24, although probably swung significantly more D in 2016)
Northern Tarrant County district - R+18.1 (about as Republican as TX-12)
Southern Tarrant County district - R+7.1 (about 2 points less Republican than TX-06)
South Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth district - D+22 (48.2% Black VAP, 22.6 Hispanic VAP, about 7 points less Democratic than TX-30)
Rockwall and East Dallas counties district - R+9.4 (About as Republican as TX-32 was in 2008)
Dallas-based district - D+9.8 (about 13 points less Democratic than TX-33, 55.3% Hispanic VAP, 15% Black VAP)

I don't think my computer will survive trying to do all of Texas, but I tried to make the districts a little prettier than they are now.
