Would the robot be programmed with Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics?

If so, how could he serve as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces when he is obliged to "not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm"?

Yeah, it's simply impossible to hold political power and respect this law.

Depends on an expert assessment of the flaws and risks. If they were better then a human in every way without serious risks(and wanted to help all of humanity, not just america) then easily

NO. It could be hacked, and even if the best security measures were put in place to protect it, it could still be hacked. Someone always finds a way.

Based on current technology, an AI would not possess nearly the mental flexibility required to be competent in the role. Maybe in the far future, but even then I don't know that we could trust it much.

I'd rather not put nukes in the metal hands of something that could go haywire at any moment.

I'd be very fearful when they get around to their promise to "kill all humans".
