Oklahoma and West Virginia Democrats hate their own party, which they produce proof of in every presidential primary.
Are there also states where Republicans live that hate their own party, which could lead to similar results like in the OK and WV primaries?
Or in other words: In what state should Jim Rogers - may God rest his soul - and Keith Russell Judd run as Republicans in order to produce similar results like in OK/WV '12 when running against Trump?

There's no closed-primary comparison, but if Vermont had closed primaries, I'm guessing that'd be the best candidate.  You would have a lot of registered Republicans in VT and probably more downballot GOP control in the state if not for open primaries, and you'd likely have a lot of VT Republicans who'd be into protest voting like that.

What about Oregon? Do their Republicans hate Trump?

Oregon Republicans are mostly confined to rural Oregon where the voters are pretty conservative, so not likely.

In 2010, Oregon was 18.97% rural, and in 2016, Trump got over double that easily, so I am not sure "most" are from rural Oregon.  Additionally, Trump won a county in the Portland metro and came relatively close in a couple of others.  People really overrate the GOP being a "rural party" ... it'd never crack 20% in any election if it were, and it regularly, ya know, wins elections.

Columbia County (which is what I assume you are referring to) is pretty small and not really a part of the metro area. I would actually agree that most Trump voters in Oregon were confined to rural areas because even though it technically says they're 18.97% of the population, there are numerous "rural" areas almost immeadiately outside of the cities that vote like other Republicans parts of the state. For example, Trump had a noticable collapse in Washington County (the second largest and one of the quickest expanding) but won the numerous rural voters in the Willamette Valley outside of the larger cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro. The story is the same in other parts of the state. Oregon Republicans are actually fairly conservative, even in the western half, it's just that the state is highly polarized so it gets masked by the majority consistently voting for the same party.

As for the original question, what about Hawaii?

The question: how these conservative Oregon Republicans elected and reelected moderate Senators Hatfield and Packwood for many many years?

Perhaps many Democrats supported them.

Only a prima facie case, as Hawaii was one of two only states where Trump was elected via caucus. 😕

Vermont seems to be the most accurate answer, followed by Alaska.
