I was reading on the forum somebody would like

"The Making Of The President" series of books by Theodore H. White.

1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, as well as
"America In Search Of Itself The Making Of The President 1956-1980"

They are available on Amason.Com at very reasonable prices.

Teddy White pioneered this genre of books and won a Pulitizer for the 1960 book.

You just have to remember that Teddy wrote his books from the perspective of a liberal Democrat.

If you want a good perspective of the 1964 election, suggest you read Suite 3505 by F. Clifton White.

I have all these books -

The Making Of The President, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, and America In Search Of Itself

I have read them all, and each one makes for a fascinating study.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants some detailed insight into these campaigns.

Sounds cool.  I'll have to check it out.  I'm thinking of buying "What's the Matter with Kansas?"  Anybody recommend it?
