If you need to find a state megathread:

Arizona Senate
California House Seats
Florida Senate
Indiana Senate
Minnesota Senate (both)
Mississippi Senate (both)
Missouri Senate
Montana Senate
New Jersey Senate
North Dakota Senate
Tennessee Senate
Texas Senate
West Virginia Senate
Wisconsin Senate

We're seeing many new threads posted about senate races of interest, in particular about Missouri. To keep from pushing other discussions off the front page and to cut down on duplicate posts, please use state-level megathreads for these discussions. Threads will be merged into megathreads as needed.

Everyone is too obsessed with the McCaskill is/isn't DOA argument to have it confined to one thread.

Great decision. Could this thread include a directory of all known state megathreads?

Everyone is too obsessed with the McCaskill is/isn't DOA argument to have it confined to one thread.

Not really, just a handful of people at best.

No I have the race as tilting Republican for now but I can easily envision situations in which McCaskill wins.

And most of the threads were not created by my buddy IndyRep or I. This forum is obsessed with McCaskill.

And a lot of these races are too early to make any confident predictions. Particularly with the unusual amount of contradictory figures in play.

1) How strong is the "polarization"?
2) Trump's national approval is poor but is well ahead in West Virginia and North Dakota and breaks even or maybe above water in Missouri and Ohio. Would people want to vote out Democratic Senators just because they approve of Trump?
3) Do the midterms presently favor the GOP or Party out of power?
4) We should keep in mind that the GOP often did well in races in deep blue states in 2010 and 2014. Will that be the same thing for Democrats in red states in 2018?
5) If 2018 is a really good year for Democrats how does that impact less popular or underwater Democrats?

So we have all these contradictory factors and everyone just keeps typing the same lines over and over again and created a bunch of new threads just to say the same thing.

Can someone remind Politician about this. The board is unreadable with this many individual House race threads.

FYI, and really this should go without saying, but it's not against the rules to be a partisan hack. Please don't be report posts just for coming off hack-ish. They will be ignored.

Those are most of the big ones. I can't find a California or Nevada megathread so if anyone can find one, let me know. I'm not going to post every single House seat thread, but I thought the California races were significant enough to have posted here.

We also have a thread for House ratings changes. It's stickied. An individual house race getting a change in rating can't get its own thread, even if it's WV-3 (I locked or merged 3 individual WV-3 threads today).

We deserve a VA-10 safe space. Unfair to shove it in with a “Generic Ballot” megathread.

If a VA-10 megathread took off, that would be fine, it could be viable. I merged two individual threads each about a *single poll* into our House polling megathread.

Fair. The problem is quality House polls are extremely seldom, but when they do come out, I think they usually merit their own threads.

Perhaps there should be a megathread for the Monmouth poll series?

Would be nice if there could be a new thread every election night, with a short run-down of the major races to be decided and the candidates involved, and when polls close in each state.  As it is its hard to follow for those who aren't paying attention to every single race but still want to follow along, especially since one has to search for where in the thread the night's results begin.

What exactly did everyone do in 2014 and 2016? Because I was thinking that we could have a "general purpose" federal elections thread on election night / early voting period, where people can just comment on whatever federal races they are paying attention to, and then people can also participate in more individualized threads/megathreads too.

Honest question....

So I started a thread about TX CD-23 since there was only a TX SEN Megathread, and I was starting to pull some numbers together for one of the most recently historically competitive Texas CD's.

I couldn't find a TX-House Megathread (As opposed to CA-House).

Should a State as large as Texas with so many House races really have US-REP-TX races wrapped up into the whole US-SEN-TX thread?Huh

I get the fact the individual US-REP races can quickly overwhelm the entire "Congressional Elections" segment of the Forum during Election Season, but at the same time we have Twenty Billion individual threads on so many other topics, and at some point viewers and posters will likely completely ignore key Congressional races if they get completely "broadbanded" into Megathreads....
