I would say Will Hurd, I would much rather have a democrat than him, but he's far better than the rest of the GOP in Texas.

Of the statewide officials, Rounds is the least awful.

Out of state-wide officers, probably Burr, but they all suck.

Michael Steele. I don't like him but he's the quintessential RINO.

I'd probably say John Morgan since I've seen him every single day living in Florida. He's basically a celebrity

I actually think he's the worst.  Daugaard > Thune > Noem > Rounds, but I'm not fond of any of them.

South Dakota Republican politicians from the past that I like include George Mickelson (Governor who established Native American Day, got killed in a plane crash while in office) and Larry Pressler, but Pressler isn't even a Republican anymore.

In Illinois: Rodney Davis really seems to be a reasonable smart guy.

In Michigan: I guess Justin Amash, a man of true principles.

I respected Frank Wolf and John Warner, especially the latter. I guess I kinda like my current state rep. Jim LeMunyon even though I'm gonna vote for his opponent in November.

I've met Rounds, and he's nice enough in person. Plus, at least he's got some reservations about the healthcare bill, which is more than can be said for Skeletor or Noem.

State Senator Jim Oberweis's ice cream is to die for, and his politics ensures that you will.

Kinzinger or Davis federally. State level, Rauner.

If you want to count judges, Posner and Easterbrook on the 7th cir are preeminent legal minds. Posner's law and economics is the most practical legal theory in use today and each should have been on the Supreme Court long ago, had the institution not devolved into a partisan one.
