There are things to like and not like about both but the bottom line is both are too damn hot, but Georgia is my pick as I've got a son there.

Georgia. The people I know from Texas that moved here always talk about how better Texas is than here.

Georgia, easily.

It is way too beautiful of a state to not pick.

Georgia narrowly. Probably my two favorite states, definitely the ones I have spent the most time in and have the most emotional connection to.

Admittedly this may change if College Station ends up doing me well. But that's a hard bargain against Atlanta and Savannah.

Georgia because of Atlanta and Athens.

Austin and San Antonio are cool, but DFW/Houston + rural TX hinterlands push GA into the top spot.

I like Athens and Atlanta as well but my favorite city in Georgia (its only serious competition in my eyes in the US are New Orleans and Charleston) is Savannah.

For Texas I have to agree. I like San Antonio, Austin a bit less but in balance still cool but I don't like Houston or Dallas

LBJ, Lloyd Bentsen, John Tower, Ted Cruz say hi.

Saxby Chambliss also says hi.
