Nowadays, young people tend to only smoke if they drink anyway, so why not?

if the law says you're an adult at 18, then you should be able to do anything any other adult can do
You can vote at 18, but the age of majority in some states is actually higher than 18.

Leave it to the states, imo. I personally wouldn't care if we abolished the smoking age. Yeah, the health consequences are terrible, but at least tobacco smoking doesn't cause brain damage or intoxication in youth like alcohol or marijuana can.

Just give people a choice, you can smoke but you can't get any health insurance.
Don't health insurance companies already charge smokers more?
