I think we can all applaud Lumine for doing such a great job on so many different games over the years, covering everything from the Belle Epoque to the War of the Five Kings. I've noticed there hasn't really been an active game in the last few months however, and would be more than willing to start one up. I tried hosting one several years ago, but made the mistake of having too many countries. This meant that when numerous people joined, some ended up not responding and I was paralyzed trying to make events and progress when major nations were completely inactive for weeks on end.
With that in mind, I've created a couple of scenarios. Mostly they are centered on periods of conflict throughout history (because, let's be honest, that helps create some of the best activity and funnest games
).
Feel free to add suggestions for scenarios though, especially if there's a period you think would work better. I was tempted to include either WW2 or the Age of Imperialism, but we've tried games before on those time periods and they really didn't seem to go anywhere. I'm curious to see if anyone is interested.
While I definitely cannot promise to have nearly the same level of logistics on such a massive scale as Lumine has had in some of his games (as I want to keep this manageable
), they'll all follow the same basic model. Each player takes a power and attempts to lead it to the best of their ability, responding to randoms events, actions from other players, or internal dissent.
