Wow, that's bloody impressive how quickly you managed to put a new update despite previous technical difficulty!

Thanks!

Luckily I still had the results, though typing it all out again was a pain. The miliary descriptions were not as complete as I planned, but I figured the update I posted was satisfactory.

Honestly was quite suprised at the outcome myself. I think calculating battles and war results has become my favorite part of moderating a game, especially given the unpredictability of it all Smiley

I'm off to bed now, hope everything looks okay. I'll start to work on the next turn opening tomorrow, with it hopefully posted by Friday.

I hoped to see Bonnie Charlie's head on the block at the Tower, but death in battle solves a lot Wink

For some reason, I expected it to be much worse for me lol.

I will definitely continue the POVs.

As I have seen Lumine doing that doo, I encourage everyone to do their own POVs too. That would definitely add something to the game.

Spamage rightfully pointed out to me the turn hasn't really begun, so I deleted the last two posts including my treaty with Sweden to post them again once the turn has actually started. From a fellow GM to another, my apologies.

Not a huge deal, it just helps with drawing the lines between turns. I appreciate it Smiley

I'll just note that while I'll do my best to be responsive and active this turn, I can't guarantee anything. I'll be in the hurricane path and won't be evacuating, so I may lose power and internet access for a few days.

I really hate to do this, but after the second consecutive turn with no direct response to the prompts (or activity as far as I can tell) I am going to have to declare Spain as vacant.

I'd rather have the Kingdom as a Non-Player country than have it paralyzed with very little overall being done. Spain remained a formidable player during this time period, so no diplomacy or domestic activity is simply not an option.

Who would be interested to play Spain?

Well, if DKrol is the British King and Elector of Havoner, I can be a Sultan and His Most Catholic Majesty Tongue

Because, you know, Ecumenism is cool.

Well,
Either a player leading a "small" country or a new one I guess?

The game can continue without a player as Spain, but I'd be more than happy to welcome a new player or accept the offer of one of the small players for a chance to switch (first come, first served and all that)

Honestly, that is just my opinion but I think it is important this country will be played by someone. It has the third big fleet of Europe after all.

Turn is open, as I have still not heard from everyone regarding turn length, it will be open until the evening of 9/15 (at least until further notice).

I am still willing to accept entrants or switches to Spain, hence the posting of it as usual. Until that time, communications to them can be sent through me.

I think I got most stuff in, though (per usual) if there are any errors or concerns PM me. I've crossed 1,000 PMs from the game as of earlier today Smiley

Hm, regarding peace treaty with Sweden, I don't think there was a formal state of war between me and Sweden. I'll have to check.

Generally, I would support the adoption of a 5 day turn. However, because Dereich is in the hurricane path and he may lose power, for now I think that we should keep the 7 day turn.

Given the circumstances, I won't oppose extension of the present turn. Then we will see.

As I see I didn't say anything, I approve of the 5 day turn.

For this turn I've already started/done a lot of what I need to do; I can have an at least preliminary set of orders in before I'd be at risk of losing the internet. I wouldn't want the turn extended because of me. God knows I don't want to be kept in suspense with this turn.

Well in that case, I now support the adoption of a 5 day turn.
