Most of the prompts are done, so I can now guarantee turn 3 will be up tomorrow night.

Woohoo! Thanks Spamage!

Just to clarify, Turn 3 closes on August 18th @ 5 pm PST.

I'm debating doing more events in real time during the turn (like to Pope event) in order to adequately respond to rapidly changing events without having to wait until the end of turn update, but I was wondering what you all thought before I went forward with it. Would it be a problem or does it help?

I like it!

Me too!

I'll have to leave this. My West Wing game is coming up soon, so I need to focus my attention there.

Have fun, and it was great having you in the game!

Also, this:

Spamage, just want to say you're doing a marvelous job with this game. Especially given how high the bar was set by Lumine.

Even though I didn't take part in Lumine's original game, this has been fantastic.

No need to get ahead of everything. The game is fine. Kalwejt stepping down doesn't (necessarily) mean the sky is falling and that something drastic needs to happens.

Anyway, thanks for being in the game Kal. You were grand.

YPestis is a very clever player; definitely someone to be careful around.
I may have overdone it this turn. Tongue

I have to drop out for cognitive rest due to a mild concussion. Probable full LOA until Saturday for the whole site.

Get well soon!

As GM I've written plenty of awful stuff done by the players or as a consecuence of their actions, but I think few lines in one of our forum games have been as haunting as:

It's just games, but by god they can get seriously dark and depressing.

Quite. To quote a Anthony Hopkins, "We've built a prison of our own sins."

I agree with Dereich here. Even though I'm clearly biased against it, I don't think a Finland controlled by a player is necessarily a good idea. Even if they somehow survive, Finland likely wouldn't qualify even as a secondary power, with its low population and terribly poor location. I also think it might be a bit of a dangerous precedent to open up rebellions to player control a year after it began.

Thinking more on it, I'll take the Netherlands.

Welcome to the game!
