Titus is a weak candidate - At least I don't know if Rosen is a good or a bad candidate.

We have a PPP poll showing Rosen +1. At the moment, the race is close. Once campaigning starts however, i dont expect it to be neck and neck.

Will Dean Heller face a tough primary challenge?

Remember, NV and MI compete for being some of the worst states to poll accurately. I don't really take things one way or another with these states.

This would be good news for Heller if Titus was gonna be the nominee. She's not.

Keep in mind, this is early on, and the Democrats will have plenty of time to attack Heller on issues like helathcare and abortion. Once a lot of people who support Heller now find out what his views really are, they won't support him. And, I bet the poll seriously undersamples primarily Spanish-speaking Hispanics, leading to an R bias.

I honestly think today's vote was political suicide for him.

As this poll was set up and paid for by a Dem, I imagine the Hispanic sample is of the appropriate size.

Important to note that Heller gets 47% against Titus, versus 41% against Rosen in the PPP poll with the Titus race creating many fewer undecideds. Granted methodologies are different but if both polls are presumed to be accurate Rosen is undeniably the stronger candidate.

Additionally, Heller's numbers balloon up 8 points against Titus from the 39% he pulls in against the "generic Democrat," versus only 2 points against Rosen (though at this stage this likely has to do with Rosen essentially being a generic Democrat to most voters).

We are probably gonna get Rosen which is a good thing, I like Kihuen as well and think he would beat Heller, but he has already said he wont be running in this race, and endorsed Rosen.
