They do not have the votes within their own party.

I think they could now.  There are no more Ben Nelsons, Mary Landrieus, Blanche Lincolns or Joe Liebermans to worry about.

Joe Manchin

Manchin seems semi-open to the idea. It's people like Joe Donnelly, McCaskill, Krysten Sinema, Heidi Heitkamp, and god forbid Dianne Feinstein that I could see voting no.

These 2 would vote for it for sure.

I think whenever Democrats have full control of the Federal Government (most likely in 2025, but possibly in 2021 if Democrats flip Congress this year and Trump decides to not run again), they should pass as much of their agenda as possible and Single-Payer healthcare along with a 15-dollar minimum wage, Free tuition at Public Universities (Funded through taxing Stock trades), Comprehensive Immigration Reform (granting amnesty to all Undocumented Immigrants that have committed no violent felonies), Marijuana Legalization, and a new Federal Assault Weapons Ban should all be top priorities, and to prevent Republicans from sabotaging any of this Democrats should eliminate the fillibuster.

Yes, Democrats should ram as much through as possible the next time they have a trifecta, since they'd no doubt lose it in the next election regardless. No need to be cautious due to the public's goldfish attention span.
