I hope you will travel the short distance to actually see totality!

I plan to be in Weiser ID.

Now one question, I checked again and we'll be at 91% totality in my area, does that mean we won't get any effects? Or will is still get dark, but not totality dark?

If the skies are clear you will notice it dim as if a cloud passed in front of the sun. Sunlight passing through the leaves of trees will create crescent images on the ground. If you look through special filtered glasses you will see that same crescent shape. The sun will remain too bright to look at directly, though you will be tempted to get a quick glimpse.

I've made visits Friday and Sunday to Weiser HS (ID) where I'll be viewing. The forecast is looking great with clear skies and little to no smoke in the air. Traffic looks to be light coming to Weiser from the north on US-95 in the early morning; there's not much population from that way to make a day trip south.

The skies were beautifully clear this morning in Weiser, ID. Venus and a few other bright stars were visible during totality. My signature shows the view of Baily's Beads just before totality.
