Harry Reid runs as a third-party candidate. He cuts into the Republican vote in Utah by picking up the young Mormon vote, but splits the Democratic vote nationwide.

They would probably think that over the next decade, Salt Lake City would somehow become the next "it" city for young people to live in and experience historic population growth at the expense of Cleveland and the rest of the midwest.

I don't get Missouri and West Virginia? How are they voting to the left of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Oregon?

I think I would have guessed a Republican landslide with a very high profile Mormon third party candidate. Winning Ohio by 8 also could mean 45-37-17.
