As polling has officially begun three hours ago and there seems to be no polling booth of any kind, I'm setting one up myself now and hope nobody will challenge its legality...Cause I won't be back on till after polling closes...Polls remain open until May first 0:00 am ET.

Your ballot options are
StevenNick (R-WA)
Lewis Trondheim (P-OR)

Only those who were allowed to vote in the first round are allowed to do so in the second round.

As I said, I didn't want to be the deciding vote.  I waited until the last minute but I'm going to stand by my vote for SteveNick.

It was a tough decision Lewis.  It's based basically on how much I see of the person and how they come across to me.  I've seen SteveNick around a lot and he comes across as logical, but I have not seen you around nearly as much so I have no real opinion.

I cast my vote for Lewis Trondheim (P - wa)

I have a Supreme Court Justice who says otherwise.

It is May 1. Polling is now closed. It seems that StevenNick has won, as it may be inferred from Justice KEemporer's statements that Lewis's original post was incorrect about disqualifying anyone who could not vote in the first round.

Votes for StevenNick:
StevenNick
WMS
Wildcard
Lunar*
John D. Ford*

*disputed

Votes for Lewis Trondheim:
Lewis Trondheim

Congratulations to StevenNick on your excellent campaign and your election to Senator for District 5! Smiley

It is May 1. Polling is now closed. Even without John Ford's vote, StevenNick wins 4-3.

I think if John Ford's vote is disqualified then Lunar's is also.  But it seems they are valid from the court's intentions, and StevenNick has won.

How come JFK didn't vote?  Not a particularly good display of civic duty from someone trying to start a new party.

Yes, mine would be disqualified also under that rule.

From what I understood Lewis has it wrong at the top of his post.

Lunar and John D. Ford's votes are indeed valid, leaving us with a StevenNick victory over Lewis.

OK, I locked this topic now. There was some confusion, but it seems clear from what we heard from the SC that all votes cast here were in fact valid. Even though Brambilla's MIGHT not be, some confusion still lingering there...that does not matter however.

It's still a StevenNick win.

I'm not sure whether it's really my place as moderator...but someone has to take care of this and seems no one else seems to be doing it:

I hereby declare StevenNick99 as winner of the D-5 senatorial election.

Congrats, Steve.
