The bubble will be bursting in the next year or so. Hopefully it will result in double-digit unemployment so the Republican Party gets swept out of office and into the sewers where it belongs.

This post in a nutshell is why Republicans control the White House, the House, the Senate, the governorships, the state houses, and the state senates. While this hack may have been stupid enough to voice this vile opinion out loud, it is scary to think how many on the left feel this very way. A lot of Democrats would rather see Republicans fail than Americans succeed, which is why Republicans tend to win elections in the end. I have no doubt that Hillary Clinton has the exact same sentiments as this poster.
To be fair, the original Wolverine post was pretty deplorable.

Talk about taking a totally partisan position.  Baker is so superior to Warren.  You all know it.

California's elections are bullsh!t. That is what happens when you have supermajorities all across the board, and really no one to keep you accountable.

This board should be named after this guy.

Talk about taking a totally partisan position.  Baker is so superior to Warren.  You all know it.

Or it could be the reality that Warren is a Dem in a Dem state and Baker is a Rep in a Dem state. Both will win by big margins, but Warren will win by a bit more.

Some of you seemed t be making reference to the quality of the candidate in addition to the margin the candidate might achieve.  I was referencing the quality of the candidates. Warren will only amass her larger total due to unwavering ideological position in a very Democrat state.  By electing Republican Governors it seems that the citizens of Massachusetts know they are otherwise likely to elect a crazy or crooked or wild spending Democrat legislature or Governor.

Sad My ballot took too long to arrive in DC, I don't get to vote Sad

Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and Donald Trump made a joint decision to exclude you from the election. I believe it was for insufficent loyalty to the republican party.

What's the appeal of voting for Dianne Feinstein?
Because most California democrats don't know better and would vote for a massive DINO over an "unknown" progressive candidate.
Feinstein is very far-left and one of the more progressive senate democrats. Can't imagine why you think she's a moderate "DINO."

Ohio, because of its proximity to VA and the competitiveness of VA.

AZ won't flip unless its a 2012 landslide.
He made this argument in 2016 as well. Ohio is close to southwestern Virginia, and Virginia has northern Virginia pulling it left, so Ohio is a blue state now.

Olawakandi is best left on ignore, as I did so long ago. He is a rarity among my few ignored posters in that he isn't a habitual psychopath/bastard/racist like the others. Merely, reading his posts genuinely risks one's IQ dropping.

I mean on a personal level I feel sorry for Todd Akin, yes he is a complete idiot, but he was probably just repeating sh$t he heard in his 1950s science class and he got completely tarred by a national media desperate to make it a national story and put those words in Mitt Romney's mouth. In light of things politicians have said and gotten away with, it is completely unfair that it became such a national story and he became such a pariah

Bullet voting "none of the above" because I think books are lame.

Adding, because it explains a lot of this thread.

He's actually right though. The media lets Trump get away with worse gaffes than Akin's on a daily basis, lol.

A world once divided into two armed camps now recognizes one sole and preeminent power, the United States of America. And they regard this with no dread. For the world trusts us with power, and the world is right. They trust us to be fair, and restrained. They trust us to be on the side of decency. They trust us to do what's right.

The expiration of our decades-long protection racket and the false and sickening humanitarian rhetoric used to justify it would deserve to be celebrated if more residents of the United States understood that this is happening.

But they don't. They're caught up in a bubble of security-state paranoia, adulation of military force, and patriotic fervor. Our leaders and our electorate don't know how to relate to a world in which the United States isn't free to set terms and make demands. They believe that we're anointed - by God, by history, by whatever - and that we have a special destiny. The United States as we know it cannot exist in a world in which it must treat other countries as its equals.

I mean, they don't really "let him get away with it."  My CNN app is full every morning of whatever new stupid thing Trump said or did.  It consumes the news.  It's just odd and kind of unexplainable that it never really seems to catch up with him.

Because within a week/day/hour they've already forgotten about it and moved on to whatever else. Compare to Akin's gaffe or Hillary's emails, which got wall to wall coverage that basically never ceased.

Wulfric McCarthy's rules for socialist identification. Lots of great gems in there, including how to absolve oneself from the socialist label.

I bet many Atlas Democrats frequently call Feinstein the c-word and would rather vote for Patrick Little.
