I mean, he's not wrong in the sense that deep down, many, if not most, people wish for some pretty horrible things, although describing children on a bus as "political opponents" is far from normal and rather horrifying. Also, normal people know that it is highly anti-social to openly and unapologetically talk about such dark thoughts.

Almost every post is talking about the loony speaker being sexually attractive.
Can't handle a bit of locker room talk?

Durbin, Stabenow, Murray, Baldwin, Bennet, Tester, Van Hollen, and Warner would all be better than Schumer.

From the thread's namesake

I think Sanchez's personal...problems are enough of a punishment for him.
You're glad my brother is autistic? Whatever dickbag.
Was that caused by the same undesirable, inbred genes that caused you to become a neo-Nazi alt-rightist?

George Pataki thinks Kid Rock is "exactly the kind of candidate" republicans need? Has his head been up his butt since his campaign ended? Is it so hard to see that kid rock will be a trump clone in the senate? How can this not be an endorsement of the trump wing of the party?

Reminder: Pataki is dumb, and thought 2016, over a decade after he left the Governorship of New York as an unpopular failure, was the time to run for President. Even when he was Governor he never overshadowed Giuliani.

How is that a bad post?

the part about how he left the governorship as an unpopular failure. a 3 term governor who had a 52% approval rating in his last poll. Its asinine.

Sure, it's a bit hyperbolic, but honestly, I would say Obama left office an unpopular failure even if he left office with an approval rating in the high 50s.

It didn't seem like an apartheid state when I was there in November 2015.  The Chinese tend to be a bit wealthier despite the affirmative action Malays benefit from, then again I am not an expert on the internal politics.  In terms of segregation, no more so than many Western countries in terms of ethnic enclaves although not living there cannot comment on what opportunities are like for each group as that is an important factor to consider.  One thing I did notice is Malaysia has a much higher standard of living than most Southeast Asian countries (Brunei and Singapore are the only higher) and seemed quite modern and developed compared to the other countries I visited in that part of the world.

Right, if someone breaks into your home you have to WAIT until he/she does a level of violence before you do that level of violence.  That's clearly moronic.

Different country different values.  I don't think too many Canadians are overly upset by this but could be wrong.  Canada tends to be quite a bit more communitarian and socialistic compared to the US although this might be a bridge too far, but I am not sure castle doctrines would sell well here either.

What is absurd about this? I'm not an Armenia expert, so I don't know much about their internal politics (aside from a 50 page article I once read on the late Soviet-era/early independence era Armenian church), so I am left to assume you are referring to its friendship with Iran.

Preferring one country over another purely based on religion is practically the definition of bigotry. Plus, I get the feeling he would not be saying that if the question was whether he preferred Malta or, say, Bosnia.

I got really nervous since I thought the brunt would hit the Miami area at first. I am more relieved now because it looks as though it will roast the west coast instead. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see people and stuff destroyed, but if it is inevitable, I would rather have it hit a red area than a blue area. As people correctly pointed out about LA post Katrina, maybe a reverse of that will happened in Florida, which could really help out in 2018 and 2020.
Emphasis mine
It actually makes me angry to read stuff like this. Jesus...

This is so sad. Any time a young person loses their life, all I can think is that it was too soon, far too soon. Then again, maybe it's not so bad. Maybe he lived more in 19 years than many people do in 80, but somehow I doubt it.

Attempting to see the "other side" in an unambiguous tragedy.

We need a fiscally moderate, socially liberal globalist, who can win AZ and FL and the Philadelphia suburbs.

At least he gives fair warning with his username.

1. She's not lying
2. She shouldn't be fired for using her 1st amendment rights. The calls for her to be fired are ridiculous and for the actual administration to try and go through the process of silencing a reporter like that (Huckabee Sanders) is almost authoritarian.

What about Curt Schilling? He was fired and he was exercising his 1st amendment rights.

As far as I'm aware that was a decision ESPN made on their own. No one in the Obama administration told them to fire Schilling. Having Trump, or someone in his administration try to put pressure on ESPN to fire Hill, would violate the First Amendment because it's the government meddling in ESPN's disciplinary actions (which may or may not have already taken place), for an employee of theirs who unwisely uses their speech.

The 1st Amendment needs to be expanded to prohibit any private employer, internet forum, or social media website from ever infringing on free speech- with the one exception being that officially partisan (and 501c3s should be allowed to be officially partisan, so that's a non-issue) groups can obviously require employees to be like-minded.

If you don't favor this, you favor open borders, you favor citizenship on demand.

It's impossible to support any regulation of immigration if you oppose enforcement of those regulations.

That's all this is, basic enforcement.

If you don't want to let every person in Africa move to America, you're going to have to be cool with deporting people, including non-criminals and people who will cry on camera.

If you can't do that, you will end up living in a third world country.

Morty is scum, news at 5.

You bolded the least disagreeable part of that post. Strange priorities.

This why Congress should introduce legislation banning tackle football.

I wish I could say this is the worst post this year, but I'm afraid it may not even be in the 5 worst sports related ones given some of the things I have come across.

I love how he started the CFB pick 'em thread...

One great thing about Obama is that he was able to be an alpha male while having a profound sense of self-control. That's very rare... I mean, no matter what you tell yourself, when you have mountains of p**** being thrown at you it's very hard for a warm blooded man to resist. But it's a choice Obama made.

Voted A on the first two, no opinion on him calling people SOBs.

I get aggravated when people like LeBron James say Trump is "dividing" America due to his opinions on the national anthem protests.

The people taking a knee during the anthem are the ones beginning the divisions. They started it. That's the divide. Trump saying what millions of others agree with isn't dividing us.

Fake outrage over things that make no sense. That's why the Democratic Party isn't in positions of power.

"They started it" doesn't absolve Trump of responsibility for the effect of his own statements. The issue was created by players kneeling, but Trump's over the top reaction to it made the issue even more polarizing. It's not like only one person can be divisive at a time.

HisGrace, there is no legitimate issue here. Okay? The issue is, the African American community is in shambles. They have the highest dropout rates, the highest crime rates, the highest murder rates, the highest out of wedlock birth rates...the list goes on and on and on.

And it's not Hillary Clinton's fault, it's not Barack Obama's fault, it's not Donald Trump's fault...it's their fault.

You hear these people on the left saying "Whites don't care when a cop shoots a black guy!" You want to know the truth? Whites also don't care when a cop shoots a white guy.

Remember the YouTube comedy clip of "Indifferent White Guy"? It's a parody but it's a funny parody for a reason:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMqR2XVnV-4

Whites are indifferent when it comes to criminality. They have rejected it out almost outright. If it wasn't for my screwed up millennial generation, things would be better and Trump would have won a Reagan-style victory.

African Americans keep protesting things that make no sense. You can't get angry when there is a justified police shooting. I'm tired of it. Why not get angry at the violence and black on black crime in places like Chicago?

Even with all the misuses of the word "socialism" by right-wingers and people with socialist avatars who are still pretty standard Democrats, this might be up there for worst use of the term:

North Korea doesn't try to be somewhat socialist the way Cuba does. They're more totalitarian than anything else.

In what way is North Korea less socialist than Cuba?

Cuba actually has a longer life expectancy than the US, while North Korea misses by 9 years.

Oh my God.

Wulfric's signatures all belong in here (well, actually whatever is above the signature line too), but this is a beauty:
