My best guess as to the final rankings will be: (Bold is the most likely team/seeding)

1. Georgia if they win the SEC Championship/Oklahoma if they win the Big Twelve Championship/Clemson (or Miami (FL)) if they win the ACC Championship.

2. Wisconsin if they win the Big Ten/Oklahoma if they win Big Twelve/Miami(FL) (or Clemson) if they win the ACC/USC if they win the PAC-12.

3. Ohio State if they win the Big Ten/Alabama.

4. Auburn if they win the SEC/Alabama/TCU if they win the Big Twelve/UCF if they win the AAC/USC if they win the PAC-12.

Why would a 2 loss Ohio State be in over a 1 loss Alabama?? Alabama's 1 loss is to the probable SEC Champion and Ohio State's 2 losses are to a very good Oklahoma team and a 31 point beat down by Iowa.

It would be very close. Ohio State has undoubtedly played a harder schedule than Alabama, although the loss to Iowa is definitely a black mark. They're both media and selection committee darlings too, so if there is a 2-loss conference champ (other than Auburn, of course) that could sneak past Bama, it's Ohio State.

I do agree with that. The committee will fight like hell to make sure Ohio State is in there.

But Ohio State embarrassed the committee last year, so maybe they'll take another look at things. I don't see this OSU team beating Wisconsin anyway, but I could be wrong.

So your most likely scenario is

1. Georgia
2. Clemson
3. Alabama
4. USC

That leaves me with some questions:

Why do you consider Georgia winning to be likely two weeks after Auburn blew them out? Why would you put them at #1?

Just....everything about USC:
-What happens to Ohio State to allow USC to jump them? Does a meteor hit their bus on the way home?
-Why would USC jump a Notre Dame that blew them out?
-I assume in your scenario TCU beats Oklahoma; why would you think USC gets in over TCU? TCU's championship win would be against a better team.

Any particular reason you think a championship-less Alabama only drops 1 or 2 spots from a not-that-close loss and then doesn't drop further after championships?

This is like some terrible nightmare where I have to cheer for TCU to ensure a team I like is in the ship

First, Auburn suffered key injuries against Alabama. I can't pick Georgia with confidence against Auburn...but I believe they are favored.

Unless a combination of Wisconsin winning the Big Ten and Oklahoma winning the Big Twelve happens (both are not going to happen) another team will get in...either USC or Ohio State. It could be either, but the committee has been burned by the Buckeyes before, which leads me to believe they would go with USC...as for TCU, I think outside of Oklahoma, they'd undervalue the Big Twelve because there are fewer teams there. And as for Notre Dame, the lack of a conference championship game probably kills them in the end.

Alabama was in regardless of what happened in the Iron Bowl. They certainly will get a better seed if Auburn wins the SEC Championship game, but I think the committee overvalues the Nick Saban aura here and gives them a three seed, not a four seed.

USC (I do like Stanford, and they are essentially playing at home...however Sam Darnold and his receivers outduel Bryce Love in a Heisman worthy clash).

UCF (The Knights are playing at home and they've beaten Memphis before. They'll lock up a spot in a New Year's six bowl...and possibly a playoff spot if everything else goes to hell...though it's very unlikely)

Florida Atlantic (I'm not betting against Lane Kiffin)

Oklahoma (Baker Mayfield is easily the best player on the field and Oklahoma's beaten TCU before (which is the weakness of the Big Twelve's Championship game format). As much as I hate to believe it after the loss to Iowa State, Oklahoma locks up a playoff spot with the win)

Georgia (Yes, Auburn won last time around, but their top running back was injured against Alabama, and Georgia is essentially at home with the game in Atlanta)

Boise State (The Broncos won last time they played Fresno State, plus they literally are playing at home, and they don't lose at home)

Clemson (As I have been told, Miami(FL) has struggled to this point, and they just got exposed by Pitt. Clemson, despite their loss to Syracuse has played better this season. The Tigers lock up a spot in the playoff with the win)

Ohio State (The Buckeyes have more playmakers on offense (hi JT Barrett!!!) than Wisconsin does, and are quite passable on Defense as well. Too bad that won't let them leapfrog Alabama for a playoff spot)

Army (The Black Knights have had an excellent season so far, and should be able to win this game, and the Commander in Chief's trophy outright-the question is, if President Trump gets the tax reform bill by game time, will he sign it at halftime?)

Is this an upset because Mullen has left Miss St., or an upset because Mullen is who Florida has gone with?

Florida is a better job than Mississippi State, so I see why Mullen would leave...but Florida had theoretically better options who will be available and not cost as much money (Kevin Sumlin, Todd Graham, maybe Charlie Strong if he were interested).

Someone who failed at Texas A&M, someone who failed at Arizona State, and someone who failed at Texas. Those are your "better options" for one of the top ten programs in the country? Dan Mullen may have been a backup option...but only because he doesn't score the insane number of points that Florida was looking for. In terms of coaching and availability, he's one of the most impressive people in the sport. Getting Mississippi State to the level that Mullen has gotten them to is nothing short of a miracle. Florida fans might be unhappy...but only because they had to resort to their consensus third choice after Chip decided to stay on the west coast and Frost decided to go home to Mama Nebraska.

PAC-12 Championship Game (in Santa Clara, California)

Stanford at USC (Stanford comes in blazing hot and is a completely different team than they were at the start of the season)

December 2

AAC Championship Game
Memphis at UCF (This should be UCF's shot at the playoff, but instead it's their shot at a NY6 bowl. Hopefully they get a good matchup)

Conference USA Championship Game

North Texas at Florida Atlantic (Kiffin gets it done)

Big Twelve Championship Game (in Arlington, Texas)

TCU at Oklahoma (UO is too much for a talented TCU squad)

SEC Championship Game (in Atlanta)

Georgia at Auburn (UA wins the rematch, but in less convincing fashion)

Mountain West Championship Game

Fresno State at Boise State (Fresno beats Boise's worst team in a while)

ACC Championship Game (in Charlotte)

Miami(FL) at Clemson (The U plays to its opponents. I think they squeak it out on the strength of the turnover chain)

Big Ten Championship Game (in Indianapolis)

Ohio State at Wisconsin (just by virtue of each team's game against UM, I have to give it to Wisconsin. Michigan had no business hanging with OSU with John O'Korn at QB and Wisconsin ground Michigan into dust)

December 9

Army at Navy (in Philadelphia) (Army's best team in decades manages to get it done against Navy.)

Missed a week due to a heavy work schedule.

@NYE: Are you able to split out bowl pick-em results from total season results when the time comes?
