Clemson (I admit if Oklahoma can lose to Iowa State, Clemson can lose to Syracuse...but Dabo Swinney is a better coach than Lincoln Riley)

California (Washington State being upset is tradition, plus Cal is hosting...book it and I'll take my "told you so's" on Saturday.

Alabama (The Crimson Tide aren't losing at home to Arkansas)

LSU (going against my gut instinct in this one...but LSU is playing at home...)

Miami(FL) (The Hurricanes appear to be the class of the ACC Coastal...if they beat Virginia Tech, of course)

Florida (The Gators can be knocked out of the SEC East race with a loss here. They won't let that happen)

Florida State (The Seminoles have played horribly this season, but they are better than Duke. At this point, I do have to question Jimbo Fisher's job security)

Michigan (If Indiana couldn't beat Ohio State, they're not going to beat Michigan)

TCU (TCU should win this...by the way, the game against Oklahoma looks like it'll be for a playoff spot)

West Virginia (This should be a test of whether anyone in the Big Twelve plays defense)

Mississippi State (BYU has had a dreadful season)

Tennessee (but only because the Volunteers are home...this is a relatively evenly matched game)

Army (Could Army be the Group of Five Representative on New Year's Day?)

Marshall (Just gut instinct here)

Texas (Anything can happen in rivalry games, and the Longhorns are a better team than Iowa State was)

Wisconsin (Purdue just isn't good enough...then again, I was wrong about Iowa State beating Oklahoma last week...)

Virginia (The Tar Heels have had an abysmal season)

Maryland (The Terrapins have been a pleasant surprise this year...that will continue this week)

Vanderbilt (Ole Miss has fallen off a cliff since SEC play began in earnest)

Toledo (once again, going with my gut instinct)

Navy (The Army-Navy game should be very interesting)

Utah State (Once again, I've got no clue here)

North Texas (Just guessing again)

Tulane (Once again, just guessing...which is really frustrating)

Ohio State (The Buckeyes are the favorites to win the Big Ten with Michigan's loss...assuming they beat Penn State)

South Florida (South Florida probably is the non power-five representative in the New Year's six bowls...but it doesn't look like they'll make the playoff...beating Illinois just doesn't cut it)

USC (How exactly do the Utes plan to stop Sam Darnold?)

Michigan State (Should be a relatively easy win for Michigan State)

UCLA (How does Arizona plan to stop Josh Rosen?)

San Diego State (The Aztecs have an outside shot at the playoff if they stay undefeated...)

Washington (I don't see how the Huskies lose...even on the road)

Stanford (I might have picked the Ducks if the game was in Eugene, but it's not...so the Cardinal are my pick).

Florida State (The Seminoles have played horribly this season, but they are better than Duke. At this point, I do have to question Jimbo Fisher's job security).

No. Jimbo Fisher won FSU a national title, has regularly won NY6 bowls, and most importantly has a buyout of $40 million if he is fired, the highest in the country by over $10 million. He could win three games and would not be fired because of both the goodwill he's accumulated and the fact that firing him would bankrupt the athletic department especially considering that FSU would need to pay for a new coach and coaching staff and would not settle for anyone cheap.

October 13

Clemson at Syracuse - Well NYE picked Cal, I actually think Syracuse for the upset, just my gut feeling no real evidence to back this up stats wise obviously Tongue

Washington State at California - Meanwhile I think Wazzu stays consistent

October 14

Arkansas at Alabama - lol easy win

Auburn at LSU - LSU showed signs of life but not this time

Georgia Tech at Miami(FL) - the playoff dream stays alive

Texas A&M at Florida - A&M is improving quickly this season

Florida State at Duke - might be close, but I do think FSU gets the win

Michigan at Indiana - Michigan is struggling lately but not that much

TCU at Kansas State - Cheesy

Texas Tech at West Virginia - sorry Sunrise, Texas Tech has been impressing me, still think WVU should be ranked, though.

BYU at Mississippi State - I think Mississippi State should be able to win this one.

South Carolina at Tennessee - When trash meets trash, Butch is desperate.

Eastern Michigan at Army - Army continues to roll.

Old Dominion
at Marshall - Old Dominion with the impressive wins lately.

Oklahoma at Texas (in Dallas) - maybe prior to Iowa State win, but OU wont let Texas win this one.

Purdue at Wisconsin - the playoff dream continues

Virginia at North Carolina - RIP

Northwestern at Maryland - should be a close one

Vanderbilt
at Mississippi - slight edge to Vandy

Toledo at Central Michigan - one of the Michigan's will beat Toledo surely

Navy at Memphis - Military teams stronk

Wyoming at Utah State - Utah state is just better.

UT San Antonio at North Texas - the real in state showdown to me Wink

Tulane at Florida International - Tulane destroyed Tulsa last week

Ohio State at Nebraska - pls upset Nebraska

Cincinnati at South Florida - pretty straightforward

Utah at USC - could be close but I think USC will have it

Michigan State at Minnesota - could go down to the final plays but Michigan State has it imo

UCLA at Arizona - Arizona has this one I think

Boise State at San Diego State - SDSU continues their win streak!

Washington at Arizona State - pls upset Arizona State

Oregon at Stanford - Pac 12 after dark chaos Surprise

-Washington State/Cal will take approximately six weeks to finish.
-Miami is not (yet) as good as their poll position. I'm tempted to take Georgia Tech, because I think its a coinflip, but I'll take Richt's excellent streak against Tech as the deciding factor
-A&M let staying closeish to Bama get to their heads. They are still the same team that lost to UCLA and will lose in the Swamp to UF and their hideous new uniforms.
-FACT TIME: Muschamp has never lost to Tennessee. He won't start this week.
-I hope Purdue beats Wisconsin. America's Team!
-Sparty is still a pretty bad and young team; I get the feeling that they remind us of that this week at Minnesota...but I like them, so I'm picking them anyway
-I hope Nebraska beats THE Ohio State. Or better yet a meteor hits the stadium!

The Washington State/Cal and Oregon/Stanford games may be postponed due to the ongoing Northern California Wildfires, and associated poor air quality. If they are, all picks made for those games will not count.
