Casey, Sr. was a genuine pro-lifer. I would have gladly voted for him both times he ran for Governor (especially in 1990).

Casey, Sr. signed a bill placing restrictions on abortion called the ''Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act'' in 1989, and later defended the law against Planned Parenthood at the Supreme Court. He tried to give a pro-life speech at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, but was denied a speaking slot.
Casey, Jr. claims to be pro-life, but usually sides with Planned Parenthood and NARAL when it comes time to vote on the issue.
Thomas, we very rarely agree on political issues. But, today is one of those times where I strongly agree with you.
