Say Trump hypothetically doesn't run for a second term, who would win? Discuss with maps.

Kasich would be the better candidate for the general, but Pence would probably win. Unless Trump resigned due to health reasons, I'm assuming that Trump is toxic to most of the general electorate (well, at this point he's still toxic).

If Pence is the incumbent president, Kasich would have an even tougher time. I'd expect Kasich to do well in a few Northeastern states and Ohio. Tough to make much of a map given that primary dates are still in the air.
