I think the abruptness is designed to show a "whitelash" and irrational anger to Chisholm. She did a decent job as president, getting things done, but the progress of her admin. caused a political realignment and a "white voting bloc" in lots of areas.

Yeah, I wasn't really surprised. This makes a lot of sense, it's just jarring seeing whats basically a liberal wank turn so abruptly into the opposite. Really good short TL, you keep making great ones!
