Someone who hates the party in the White House but loves veterans more. The same person voted for Mark Warner (opposition) in 2001, John Warner (veteran) in 2004, Tim Kaine (opposition) in 2005, Bob McDonnell (opposition) in 2009, and George Allen (opposition) in 2012. The voter would've supported George H. W. Bush in 1988 and 1992 (veteran), Bob Dole in 1996 (veteran+opposition), Al Gore in 2000 (veteran), John Kerry in 2004 (veteran+opposition), John McCain in 2008 (veteran), Mitt Romney in 2012 (opposition), and Donald Trump in 2016 (opposition). For the upcoming races in Virginia, I'd say the voter would support Ralph Northam for Governor, Tim Kaine for Senator (unless a veteran faces him), and Mark Warner for Senator (unless a veteran faces him).
