Forget Katy's call to catch fish! I found a song that is about violence against turtles.

I thought Charlie Puth sang in his song "Attention" about his girlfriend "throwing a turtle on his nail".
I wanted to find out what that could mean, if it is just turn of phrase. But as I couldn't find anything  about such an idiom, I took a look at the actual lyrics -  and gosh...

BTW, doesn't Puth enunciate the sentence "You just want attention" like "You just wanna touch it", or is my mind alredy completely perverted?

It never sounded to me like he said turtle, so I listened to it again and it still doesn't sound like turtle, although I can somewhat understand why a non-native speaker might think that.

If you really want to have fun, listen to George Ezra's song 'Budapest.'

Ah, you mean that song where you understand him singing "da dee ba doo" and then by accident realize that sing real words, just in a strong British accent? Yeah, that's a good one. 😄
