Jay Cutler has a job and Kaep doesn't. That's all I'll say.
Vanderbilt grads have good reason to be employed....
Even beyond that, Jay Cutler is a better quarterback than Colin Kaepernick and fits more systems
Basically this.
Cutler sometimes make curious decisions, can be
dreadfully inaccurate, and with him at the helm, you're praying you don't enter into a 2 minute drill situation.
But at the end of the day, you can plug him into the standard pro-style scheme without redesigning the entire playbook.
It's the same reason why QBs like Testaverde and Hasselbeck stuck around for so long as that guy that would get the phone call mid-season, as teams have their starter go down and they're scrambling for an alternate. These types of pocket passers that fit in the typical NFL system are actually sorta rare and definitely not a dime-a-dozen.
