Extremely normal person behaivour to come into a thread about white supremacists and start yelling about people wanting reparations.

Yeah. I'm SURE David isn't at all racist. That's definitely the first thought I had!
Oh I know David is a racist from every time he talks about Palestinians. This is just the first time I've seen him nuzzle so close to actual white supremacy.
Because saying "reparations" -- payments from white people to black people based on race -- are racist = white supremacy? Atlas Leftists are getting more deranged by the minute.

How did reparations even come up in this thread?
I mentioned them as an example of why Trump is right when he says that the hatred and racism comes from multiple sides.
That's deflection and not very good deflections at that. Like reparations or not, it's a stretch to call them hatred or even racism. Post slavery and during reconstruction, they would have made sense.

This has to do with the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue and a bunch of racists who thought they would use it as an opportunity. This doesn't have to do with trump.

If left-wing protestors would shoot police, I wouldn't come into the thread and say "Welcome to Obama's America." That's just ridiculous.

In what way are reparations hateful? Also not everything based on race is instantly racist.

I don't necessarily support the reparations from DE to IL but there is obviously a clear difference between actual perpetrators and their contemporaries paying money to actual victims on the one hand and people paying for the crimes of some of their forefathers to people who were never enslaved on the other hand. It goes without saying that I don't think post-1945 Germans should be required to pay any reparations to IL.

David, you don't live in America and you have zero understanding of our racial history from your perch in the Low Countries. Stay in your own lane and stop hijacking this thread.

The left seems to be hysterically obsessed with Trump, who condemned the hatred and bigotry espoused.

Obsessed ?
Do you mean like when the right was hysterically obsessed with Hillary's emails ?

Yes, good comparison!

Thank you !

But why do these people insist Trump is on their side? You'd never hear Antifa say "Obama supports us"

David Duke sent out a tweet basically reminding Trump of who put him in office and Trump has giving racists seats at the table.

David Duke and his statement are ridiculous, stupid, and deserve to be taken with no seriousness.

Also, if you are referring to Bannon, he (wrongfully) has a seat, but he has no real control over anything in the admin (thankfully)

I meant backwards in their beliefs. It takes a sick kind of person to promote such racial superiority.

That is an ignorant excuse to somehow insert "reparations" into this conversation.
Why not figure out a way to also introduce little green people from Mars into the debate.

DSA support BDS and are just as vile as -- and more dangerous than -- the organizers of the rally. Which doesn't excuse the latter group at all, btw.
How the hell are they more dangerous? They don't seem to do anything but pass resolutions at their convention and write long screeds on WordPress and Tumblr no one reads except some of their other members.

O...ok? That has nothing to do with my post. There are alt-righters on Reddit. That's pretty obvious. And they are malicious people.

I'm also pretty confident the vast majority of counter-protesters there had nothing to do with DSA.

Well that is true, but there's a reason they think Trump support their goals:
--rampant birtherism
--thinly veiled racist criticism of Obama
--"standing up" to the globalist elites (also thinly veiled antisemitism here)
--"They're rapists"
--Never outright condemns them

You have no need to defend these actions and I don't think any conservative ought to feel obligated to defend what's indefensible.

Supporting a nonviolent, voluntary boycott of Israel is worse than a neo-Nazi, White Supremacist rally that resulted in one of its participants employing an ISIS terrorist tactic to kill 1 person and injure over 20 others. You are a true piece of work.

Its the post that sums up DavidB. Incredibly misguided, unable to see the irony of defending neo-Nazis by pointing the figure at the BDS movement for anti-semitism.

I don't support BDS, but to be fair it's a political movement targeted at the current hyper-conservative Israeli government, not at Jews or Israelis as a whole. If Israel elected a socialist government that included both Jews and Arabs in the winning coalition, BDS would be over in a flash.

David Duke and his statement are ridiculous, stupid, and deserve to be taken with no seriousness.

Also, if you are referring to Bannon, he (wrongfully) has a seat, but he has no real control over anything in the admin (thankfully)
Considering that Duke has never much aligned with any Republican elected official like he has with Trump, it is quite telling. It doesn't matter how much control Bannon has, a seat at the table means something to the fringe in the proverbial sense.

Many people misinterpreted Trump on both sides. Just like always. And Duke will do anything for attention

In regards to Bannon, you are somewhat right about that. I doubt Trump had much, if any, choice in choosing Bannon (since these last 7 months have shown that he does nothing and just delegates power like a figurehead), which is unfortunate because he should drop him (and hopefully Kelly pushes him out)
