Q1: Who do you plan to vote for? Dem, GOP, Green, Libertarian, etc., or Undecided

Q2: (Undecided voters only): If forced to choose now, who do you think you would choose?

Q3: Do you feel certain that you will vote for (whoever you picked in Q1 or Q2) or is there a chance you will change your mind?

Q4: How do you feel about (Dem, GOP, etc.) Excited, Optimistic, Concerned, Scared

Answers to Q3 should be broken down by candidate. For each candidate, the answer to Q1 or Q2 should be broken down by the answer to Q4 with respect to that candidate.

The CNN polls in 2016 were among the best polls I have ever seen, for any election. They had all these questions and much more. For example, voters' feelings toward Clinton were 17% excited, 27% optimistic, 23% concerned, and 29% scared. For Trump, they were 13% excited, 27% optimistic, 20% concerned, and 36% scared. So, while voters were more scared of Trump than of Clinton, for both candidates a plurality said they were scared. Of these eight enthusiasm-level categories (4 for Clinton and 4 for Trump), the following percentage voted 3rd party:

Excited about Clinton: 1%
Optimistic about Clinton: 3%
Concerned about Clinton: 12%
Scared about Clinton: 4%
Excited about Trump: 1%
Optimistic about Trump: 1%
Concerned about Trump: 12%
Scared about Trump: 6%

I have to wonder what percent of those "concerned" about both candidates voted third party-- probably about 15%, but maybe more.
