Los Angeles, California is probably one of the largest cities in America and the world. A very urbanized, liberal, secular Western city, where are the most conservative areas of Los Angeles's suburbs?

To find a list of cities in Los Angeles County that have more registered Republicans than registered Democrats, I just had to look it up on the CA Sec. of State's website. The most recent figures of registered voters, and which parties they registered with, was published February 10, 2017. I found these cities in the county have more registered R than D.

Just north of the L.A. city limits, Santa Clarita -- 45,134 Republicans to 42,275 Democrats.

Just north of Glendale/Pasadena, La Canada Flintridge -- 6,131 Republicans to 4,823 Democrats.

Just south of Pasadena, San Marino -- 3,158 Republicans to 2,080 Democrats.

Four little cities adjacent to one another in the area called the Palos Verdes Peninsula:
Palos Verdes Estates -- 4,819 Republicans to 2,664 Democrats
Rancho Palos Verdes -- 11,147 Republicans to 9,336 Democrats
Rolling Hills -- 799 Republicans to 291 Democrats
Rolling Hills Estates -- 2,637 Republicans to 1,657 Democrats.

Further east, near the eastern edge of the county:
Glendora -- 13,403 Republicans to 9,898 Democrats
La Verne -- 8,423 Republicans to 7,147 Democrats
San Dimas -- 8,357 Republicans to 7,508 Democrats.

The Inland Empire is probably the answer at this point.

Consistently the most Republican municipality in the LA area at around 75% for Republican presidential candidates.

Know how it voted in 2012 & 2016?   I would imagine Trump won it, but by a significantly smaller margin than Romney.

L.A. was heavily populated with Midwestern Protestants and their descendants for much of its history.
