US to dramatically cut non-immigrant visas for Russians

The US is suspending all non-immigrant visa services until September 1st, when services will be resumed but only from the Embassy in Moscow, and none of our consulates. This is presumably a reaction to the recent expulsions of US diplomats.

Not so much a reaction as a result. We now don't have the staff there to perform all functions, so low priority functions such as these will sufer.

Russia is too big to have people from the other end of the country to travel to Moscow for that. And Moscow used to serve citizens of Belarus too, now they can't get their visas there too
