The sponsor has 24 hours to commence advocacy, the other Representatives have 48 hours to respond with their initial comments, questions and concerns.

This is a big fing deal as Joe Biden once said, so everyone should participate, help and make this work.

I frankly don't care how this is amended, worded, structured, changed or altered, as long as it gets done.

In 2010 there was a decision to reinstate the budget process during the Afleitch and  Purple State administrations. Legislation similar to section 1 was offered by then Senator Badger and was passed. I was a member of the subsequent committee chaired by GM Purple State and then his successor Badger in that post. We compiled all the relevant laws stretching back 5 years, composed a budget format and submitted it to Congress as mandated. This even while a Constitutional Convention was starting to rewrite the Second Constitution into the Third Constitution.

2010 Act
2010 Committee
FY2013 Budget
FY2014 Budget

Bottom line, this can be done. We have spent most of the past year with a budget just around the next corner only for it to not happen and I am sick of it. It is time for the Congress to act, time to set up a process, and  time to get this done.

My feelings on this are very similar to Senator Henry Wallace and Speaker NC Yankee. This is incredibly important, and we need to get the ball rolling on this. This bill has my complete support and I hope that we can get this taken care of as soon as possible. Going this long without a budget is unacceptable.

It is of the utmost importance that the Atlasian Federal Government puts together a budget. Without one, the government won't be able to pay its bills or work properly. It is unfortunate that Atlasia has not had a budget since 2014. Compiling a budget will make the government work much more efficiently and effectively. It is absolutely necessary that Atlasia has a budget for every year, starting with the fiscal year 2018. A Budget Process Committee, the formation of which is outlined in this bill, is a promising and productive method of formulating a budget. Therefore, for all of the reasons outlined above, I support this act.

I am in agreement that Atlasia needs a budget, and pronto.

You people could at least put some effort into pretending to care. Tongue

I would also note that two of the three post above are people who already posted. Meaning there are still FOUR Reps facing the axe.

Either get whipped in the next 24 hours, or get axed.

I apologize for the delay, but I want to review it one last time to make sure anything that needs to get fixed is fixed before it is passed, since I assume Senate passage will follow shortly thereafter and this process will immediately start and I prefer it not to fly off the rails on day one.

Now I kind of want to hold off at least until we can get a SoIA nominated.

Said person could also be an executive representative to the committee.

Looks like waiting for a SoIA might be impractical.

Anyway I suggest new members, read  the linked materials in the Advocacy post:
2010 Act
2010 Committee
FY2013 Budget
FY2014 Budget

And I trust the previously serving members have already read them in full. Tongue

Considering as there are only so many positions to be had in the executive branch, and not all of these lend themselves naturally to financial policy, the amendment to me appears quite prudent and has my support.
