I never got into Sonic much.  Mario could be fast, but it seemed to involve more strategy for the "hard" parts, whereas Sonic was just a twitch fest/muscle memory thing 75% time.



What was the Genesis game where you started on a continent with 1 or more other "civilizations".  And you had a number of dudes and you could leave them to multiply, or put them to building upgrades and mines and what not or on different science advancements.  I love/hated that funking thing.  The first levels were stupid easy.  Then it was kind of fun and balanced for a level or 2, and then BAM, impossible.

Sega was the better system, but SNES had some of the best games ever. Tough choice, I went with Sega, but barely

To each their own, but I just couldn't stand the Sonic Adventure games. Nowhere near as bad Sonic '06, but it's just not my cup of tea.

To each their own, but I just couldn't stand the Sonic Adventure games. Nowhere near as bad Sonic '06, but it's just not my cup of tea.

I agree, maybe they were good at the time, but IMO they haven't aged as well as Mario 64, Banjo, Spyro, or even Crash Bandicoot.

The Sonic game where Sonic isn't even the fastest character, you waste 1/3 of your time hunting for treasure, and with a hilariously bad plot with bad voice-overs to boot is the best game? I don't get it.

SA2B had the best plot by far as the Space Colony Arc and the Chaos Emeralds story line is great  , has amazing replay value(each mission is different :  first mission is complete the stage, 2nd mission get 100 rings, 3rd mission is to find lost chao , 4th mission complete stage under n minutes, 5th mission is to beat hard mode). You also have Kart Racing , beating the bosses .

 Tails in a mech is way better than tails outside one and you get to play as Eggman which is awesome, so I dont get why the mech stages are hated so much, in my opinion all of them are great.


Finally the treasure hunting stages are underrated, I find Wild Canyon, Security Hall, Meteor Herd to be pretty cool stages.The only really bad ones are Death Chamber and Mad Space.




Now my opinion for this game may be cause I played this sonic game before the 2d ones but I enjoyed SA2B way more.
