I am going to start a series about the 38 questions asked in the Wahl-O-Mat for the German Bundestag election in order to see what German parties most closely match the forum's political views taken as a whole.

PS: I've started this thread again because I'd realized that it's more useful to add the "important/unimportant" options to the "yes/no" options, as clicking on "important" could paradoxically lead to doubling the score for the opponent's opinion. Sorry to the three users who had already voted!

Question 1: In order to fight terrorism the Bundeswehr (the armed forces of Germany) should be allowed to operate on national territory.

Question 2: Diesel fuel for cars should be taxed more heavily.

Question 3: An upper limit on a yearly basis should be established before absorbing new refugees.

Questions 4-6: renewable energy/public housing/BAföG
Questions 7-9: video surveillance/Greece/speed limit
Questions 10-12: defense budget/fake news/organic farming
Questions 13-15: child benefits/employment contracts/vaccination
Questions 16-18: banks/the Holocaust/budget surplus
Questions 19-21: farm animals/lignite mining/subcontracted labor
Questions 22-24: dual citizenship/pensionable age/Deutschmark
Questions 25-27: female quota/capital tax/defense of infancy
Questions 28-30: health insurance/right-wing extremism/real estate tax
Questions 31-33: arms exports/cannabis/solidary pact II
Questions 34-36: integration of refugees/all-day care/reference to God
Questions 37+38: UBI/EU

No (I think the Army should be deployed on national territory for disaster rescue etc but not for population control or whatever)

Yes (although not in a recessive manner)

Maybe? (I don't believe in a hard cap in refugees, but I do believe firmly refugees should be processed abroad and flown across the mediteranian as a family rather than the current anarchy)

Is there a place I could take the Wahl-O-Mat myself?

1) Lean yes, but only during large terrorist events. Usually, the special police forces have it under control, so no real need for the army. But if there are multiple terror cells, it could be necessary to support the police forces and to round up the Islamists.

2) Yes. I have a diesel car myself, but will likely swtich to an e-car in the next 5 years. We need to move away from diesel and gas-powered cars over the next decade and embrace e-mobility.

3) Yes, there should be an upper limit for refugees and immigrants in general. I'd say 3.000 refugees for Austria annually (preferably women and children) and 10.000-17.000 skilled immigrants. Certainly not analphabets from the Middle East and Africa.
