I don't like abortions... but I don't see why they should be illegal...
Sorry to be glib/warped about this but the only people who would benifit would be people in the wire coat-hanger industry...

thanks, 22 weeks, that is like 4-5 month range then, interesting.  Did th courts do it or legislative processes?

Legislative.
It began as a PMB put forward by Liberal M.P(and later leader) David Steel, and was adopted by the then Home Sec, Roy Jenkins(ironic eh?)

Yes.
The legislature is far stronger than the courts(which can interpret law but cannot make law)

A charactor in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which was a radio comedy by Douglas Adams(who later wrote it down as a "trilogy in 5 part's")

Malthus was wrong because he didn't see either the Industrial Revolution or the vast improvements in agriculture (eg. "Turnip" Turner) coming.
His theory is probably accurate for a subsistance farming based economy.

ah, scottish politics is even more left than UK politics in general, only 1 tory MP for scotland, I forget his name at the moment though. I am a Londoner although my grandparents currently reside in Edinburgh.

In Geordieland we think that Scotland is right wing Tongue

Yah, but we have Tommy Sheridan! Spit..I hate that man with a passion. I'm a middle of the road man. In fact I gave the Tories my 2nd vote back in May because the Scottish Parliament is a wee bit too left-leaning for my liking with all those Nationalists and Greens kicking about Smiley

We have Hillary Armstrong
They have Jack Cunningham
You have Tommy Sheridan

heh, heh, heh...

I hate Sheriden as well... I had a rant about him on another thread...

What are CTguy's opinions on the economy? Fascists let buisnesses run on their own, unlike communism where restrictions are made.

Ehhh..nooooo...fascists belive in national cooperation between trade unions and corporations. They're usually corporativists...or whatever it would be called...they certainly not free marketeers, plain and simple.

Both of you are wrong. Fascists usually believe in the Party controlling the economy with co-operation from favoured businessmen.
They hate trade unions.
