Anglo-Catholic: Yes, but only as an option for treason, sedition, mutiny and terrorism.

Yes, and i would like it expanded to include executing rapists
Ugh.  It is so painful reading statements this absurd and insane.
Why should a rapist deserve to live? More so a child rapist? They should all be executed. Think about it, the effects of their crimes carry on much longer. If someone is murdered, there's no more pain for them. If someone's raped, they carry the physical and emotional trauma from that until they die. So tell me again why a rapist, specifically a child rapist has any right to live

Death penalty for rape is one of those things that sounds good (if you support the death penalty, which I don't) but is actually very, very bad. The reason is because it encourages rapists to murder their victims, making it less likely for them to get caught, but not changing their punishment if they do get caught.

Anyway, no (Jewish).

Yeah, there's no logical justification for capital punishment for anything but murder and crimes against the state.

Other religion: No.

Mainly because I don't trust the legal system enough to carry out such a permanent solution. Even one mistake is unacceptable. I used to struggle with this issue because there's certain crimes that I find deeply horrifying and irredeemable, but I don't see myself changing my opinion at this point.

That's my position as well.
