Columbia, SC
It appears that the voters have indicated that they would rather see me stay on the Supreme Court than enter the Senate at this time.  Well, y'all'll have nothing to complain about if y'all don't like how I rule in Bono v. Atlasia III.
(Polite laughter from the audience.)
Let me commend both Secretary Ebowed and Senator MHS2002 on the quality of their campaign.  I think the Senator suffered from the redistricting, as he had too little time for the voters to become familiar with him so that many of them thought of him as being from over yonder instead of being from right here.  The Secretary certainly ran an active campaign, and if effort alone was to determine the outcome, he certainly earned his victory.  I wish him good luck and I hope he won't need it.

I also wish to remind the voters of District 4 that there remain contests whose outcome is still uncertain ion both the Mideast and Southeast ballots, so I hape that those of y'all who haven't yet voted there shall do so before the polls close this weekend.

Lastly, let me urge President Alcon to get cracking on filling the two vacancies that appear to be opening up in his cabinet.  There are a number of good people who have been disappointed this weekend who will both be looking for a job and be qualified to serve.
