In every state that allows write-ins, every "unopposed" Senator faced at least one write-in challenger in the last 100 years. In 2004, Mike Crapo faced Scott McClure. In 2014, Jeff Sessions faced Victor Williams and maybe some others. Only John Thune in 2010 literally faced no opponent, but South Dakota doesn't allow write-ins. If John Barrasso faces no opponent on the ballot, will any write-ins run?

Everyone in Wyoming loves Barrasso, so no.
If that was true, he would have been elected unanimously. 22% voted against him in 2012. I can see a Democrat running a write-in campaign to give voters a choice.

I doubt any Republican Senators will run unopposed this time. So few incumbents, and way more Democrats are running for Congress this year anyway.

Obviously Barrasso is in no danger though.

Right. Larry Marvin and Jane Raybould are running against Deb Fischer.
