Honestly, I never even knew these existed. That you can just lean back as if you're relaxing in a lazy-boy and settle all your computing affairs is awesome. Plus it seems so absurd that I almost can't stand not having it.

I've done overnight shifts with a high-quality reclining office chair and a bank of fixed screens. I've used my home La-Z-Boy with a laptop in my lap and side table with a mouse. I'm not looking to spend 6K$ on The Emperor, but if someone provided me one, I could imagine using it.

No. As every waking moment tells us, the future is terrible.

What if you added wheels and a motor to one so you could even drive around, such as down the neighborhood street in front of people? Surely that would make it less terrible Cheesy

The structure completely ignores the need for a vast expanse of desk space to hold books, notes, and eighteenth century economic data.

It's called get bigger screens, a wireless keyboard, and an actual recliner. Probably come out ahead in $$$ and you have a sweet setup for watching college football on Saturdays.

If it's customizable, I had the space for it and someone else is buying it for me?  Sure, why not?

Lighten up Luddites.

Lighten up Luddites.

"You're... you're part of the machine? What did they do to you?" "Lighten up, Luddites!" wheezed the speaker through crackles of static. Dead_Man's hazy image came in and out of focus on the screen. "This was voluntary!" the speaker crackled, delighted to have taken the newest, boldest, and, most important of all, most convenient step into the future. Life certainly was easier, resting there on a magnetic strip.
