This whole situation is a little stomach turning, especially since it could result in the restoration of a 5-1 Labor Senate Majority. Neither Party should ever have an over 80% Majority in any chamber. PiT is certainly a qualified nominee, but I think he would be most advantageous to Atlasia if he remained in the Senate.

I understand your reasoning, Wulfric, but that is something that should be addressed with the Federalist Party, not the Senate.

PiT is indeed a very qualified person for the job (which is why I nominated him), and I trust that whoever fills his position in the Senate will certainly be able to live up to the example he has set.

I'll almost be tempted to vote nay to keep him in the Senate, but of course I have absolutely no doubts about PiT's qualifications and abilities to serve as our next Vice President.

     I would like to thank Senators ZuWo and Scott for their statements of support, as well as recognize all of the kind statements from non-Senators. Given the dearth of questions, I would like to take the opportunity to clarify my vision for the Vice Presidency sua sponte.

     The Vice Presidency is a role without many formal responsibilities, but managing and coordinating Congressional business is important among them. I served as PPT across two Senates earlier this year, and in so doing I learned to appreciate the value that proper coordination brings to the work of Congress. When offered I jumped at the idea of serving as Vice President because I wanted to apply what I learned as PPT to keep the good work of Congress running as smoothly as possible.
