The GOP legislative agenda suffers a huge setback. Now they'll have to return to this issue in 3 months. Big win for the Dems.

As with any temporary "solution", the problem usually returns even worse than ever.

I really don't mind it. If they moneys for Harvey aid, and likely Irma aid as well I think that's what he should be focusing on right now

Cool. Having a GOP Speaker/Majority Leader and President who don't see eye-to-eye is a win-win situation for Dems, as this and other things show.

Can we at least break somewhat from the partisan responses for a moment and admire the fact that a president went against his party and worked with the opposition for a relief funding bill that is going to help a lot of people who need it?

As much as I detest Trump he did the right thing here... for now. The bill hasn't passed, mind.

When you brag about being a dealmaker and proceed to get rolled over, you are going to get called out.

I would actually prefer the GOP leadership debt ceiling plan, which is to raise it so that it won't be a problem until after the 2018 midterms. But as avoiding a default is top priority, any raise is better than no raise.

Color me skeptical that Trumpolini did this for any reason other than angrily to hit back at GOP leadeship in Congress.

Seconded.  If this goes through then I'll give him some deserved kudos, even though I'll still disapprove of him on other fronts.  Bad people sometimes do good things (and vice versa).

Watch him enact executive action giving amnesty to all the undocumented because, "Well Nancy and Chuck let me have my wall".
