I'd support either Peyton Manning or  Marsha Blackburn

What are Haslam's chances against Blackburn in the primary?

Haslam would most likely win.

It seems Corker left because he was sick of having to comment on Trump's activities/comments every day, and probably sick of being in the Senate; I don't see why Haslam would want to jump into that.

Travis has hired a campaign finance lawyer

He'd almost certainly run as a right-leaning Indy no?

Left-leaning Indy who hates Political Correctness and SJWs.

IF the Democrats pull a 2014 Kansas and don't run a candidate ... he could have a chance.

He sounds right up my alley then!

I think Corker would actually have made a good governor.

We could do worse...and probably will.

Corker and Haslam doing a Tennessee Two-Step and trading seats seems like a best-case scenario. That whole VW Chattanooga thing was egregious, though

Corker spoke to Manning: possible but doesn't think it'll happen.

I know it has not been mentionned but what about Tipper Gore, Karenna Gore or Kristin Gore for the Democrats?

Karenna lives in NY, Kristin in LA.

And Tipper?

Blackburn will announce her candidacy later today. Green expected to run for her seat.

And yet, if I'm not wrong, Carly Fiorina lived in Virginia but she still ran for Senator in California in 2010.

Possibly not the best example to use in encouraging someone to run. Smiley

...Senator Marsha Blackburn...

Why do I hear The Omen theme playing in the distance and quickly getting louder?

Hopefully Blackburn runs and loses. Then she won't be in either house of Congress! Smiley

Hold the phone, Gov. Haslam is considering a run.

I think there are no run-offs in TN, so a crowded primary could yield some interesting results.

Go Haslam go!

If I lived in Tennessee, being that it's an open primary state, I would vote for Haslam in the primary just to prevent the potential further insanity of Congress.

Tempting but I'm more interested in increasing Dem participation. Hoping for a contested primary.

Looking at the potential Democratic nominees, I'm actually very impressed by James Mackler, the only serious candidate currently declared. Military backgrounds always play well in the South.
