Thanks! I'll change Rooney. Diaz-Balart lost because he made a gaffe a few days before election day, saying "Trump is better for Latinos than any Democrat in history." This was days after Trump had flip-flopped back onto the border wall (about the dozenth time he's changed positions on the wall). He very narrowly loses to Raul Martinez, one-time Hialeah Democratic mayoral candidate.

ROMNEY SLAMS TRUMP FOR CHAIR CRITICISM, WILL LEAVE GOP

"He is the worst President in at least 150 years," Mitt Romney declared at his first press conference as the new Senator-elect for Utah. Senator-elect Romney responded to President Donald Trump's criticism of former RNC Chair Ronna Romney-McDaniel, who is the Senator-elect's niece.

For the first time since losing reelection to his seat in the House of Representatives, outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan faced the media.

Trump, 36, had no political experience before being nominated as Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump, her father. She is considered, however, a moderating voice in the administration and as having considerable sway over the President.

Trump cites her business experience as her main quality that would help her as Chair.

"I have so much business experience, so I know exactly how to move a product. And really, a candidate is just another product, waiting to be sold to the people of their district. The Democrats had great messaging, mostly aimed at my father. But I think we can have even better messaging, aimed at my father's positive traits and the positive things he has done as President."

Wait, seriously? I'd never heard of that rule. But doing some research, it seems you're right.

I'm just going to BS in some new rule Romney-McDaniel passed that requires the RNC Chair to be elected by a majority vote from the 50 state chairs, and the chairs of the party in DC and the territories.
