I love the use of the phrase "Rocketman." This kind of bravado is a welcome addition to politics.

Must have been a good speech given the lack of replies with OMGZ so far.  

What is sad is how far the bar has been lowered for Trump. And how fast that change  has happened. Just because he manages to get through a speech without soiling his pants or having a psychotic break, and keeps the bile volume down to a couple of pints, people (using the term broadly) call it good. And I suppose it could be considered good - for an inmate of a mental hospital. For  the President of the United States it was pathetic and troubling.

His use of nicknames isn't to appear dumb but to catch headlines. It's actually really smart even if it wasn't the most PC  thing to say. He knows that CNN or whoever will lead with it and cut to more of the speech thus accomplishing more viewers. The speech wasn't all that bad on the whole, anyway, and I wasn't a Trump voter or supporter.

I didn't read anyone posting the word "offended." It's not offensive, but it is childish. We are talking about a very dangerous situation in NK, and trump is lowering himself to a 12 year old, calling people "RocketMan" ..... really ?

If Kim Jong-un is "murderous" then trump can refer to him as so. If he is a "psychopath," then trump can describe how Kim is unstable (though the world will laugh, since trump himself is a psychopath). But not "RocketMan" or "NukeBoy" or "Little Hands-Un" or any other immature label in front of the entire UN body.
